INTRODUCTION TO FLAG BEARER POSITION
Direct Sales Position:
By becoming a Flag Bearer (beginning position: Ensign Flag Bearer), the person will embrace direct sales in the lawn care space as an easy system to make an increasing income while providing servicing in a market with growing demand on immediacy and efficiency. This direct form of servicing is being adopted more-and-more by multinational corporations like Amazon and Walmart through home delivery services, which has come to include, delivery drones, pickup & delivery to your doorstep; home alarm deactivation so that packages can be placed inside your home and even food in your fridge. These services are designed to hold market share but also to win over new customers because consumers demand ever-more-immediate and efficient services, which of course goes hand-in-hand with lower cost and time saving. Therefore, since direct sales is the only platform for immediate servicing in the lawn care space, Green Flag is one of the premier companies in this space, which allows the customer to see the servicing being completed while also getting it done instantaneously.
The Education Pay gives full-time Ensign Flag Bearers a daily income of $120.00 and part-time Ensign Flag Bearers a daily income of $52.00.1
The Education Pay is only designed to help develop Ensign Flag Bearers and does not indicate anything similar to salary or hourly pay.2 Nor does education pay change the relationship between Green Flag and the Flag Bearers.3
Where Green Flag has opted to take a new Flag Bearer as opposed to a more experienced sales person, we spend time developing future leaders through our Leadership Program by teaching them the rudiments of direct sales and marketing. Green Flag has had great success in this program with some of our best Flag Bearers doing over $25,000.00 in combined ‘Education Pay’, ‘commission’ and bonuses over the course of our spring/summer campaigning season(s).
Work Experience Program:
Where a Flag Bearer is still in high school, he or she can take advantage of our ‘Work Experience Program’, which allows students to collect high school course credits while simultaneously earning an income. This allows high school students the opportunity to have a real work experience with professional leadership responsibilities while also not neglecting their school studies and projects. Moreover, the Work Experiences Program is integrated with the high school curriculum to accent and heighten their educational experience rather than overshadow it! In this manner, the work experience program allows high school students to be better prepared for the real world and take advantage of a more fluid integration into the work force.
Services that Green Flag Provides:
Green Flag offers three services during our direct sales campaigns: a) power-raking treatment(s), b) weed control treatment(s), and c) deep core aeration treatment(s). Many home owners don’t want to wait days or weeks for servicing, or pay hundreds of dollars for spring clean-up packages or weed control programs, which makes our price point realistic, competitive and very appealing. Therefore, in the Spring/Summer season both services are in high demand!
Firstly, power raking treatment(s) are needed in the springtime to remove dead thatch from lawns, which notoriously crowds roots and stunts new grass from growing. Thus, power raking or dethatching is good because it removes overcrowding of thatch and allows for sunlight to reach new budding shoots, which is fundamental to new grass growing and ultimately a thicker more beautiful lawn.
Secondly, weed control treatment(s) are in high demand as the Spring/Summer period as these seasons come with a lot of pollinating, cross-pollinating and rhizomes (horizontal root shoots) that spread on a more vigorous basis than any other time of year. In effect, many home owners struggle to control their weeds with weak consumer products that have a poor impact on their lawn. Therefore, Green Flags weed treatments (or more extensive programs) offer both fantastic pricing and immediate servicing, which home owners love because they can see the job getting done in front of their eyes and also pay a competitive price simultaneously.
Thirdly, deep core aeration treatment(s) are excellent in the Spring/Summer season to better allow water to saturate the lawn. The homeowners’ lawn has many deficiencies stemming from snow and gravity compacting it over winter, to dry and hot summers with few homeowners that have automatic irrigation systems. These climatic deficiencies cause the soil to harden, compact and make water saturating much more difficult. In effect, rather than the lawn being able to soak up access water natural, much of it flows off of the surface and into a nearby sewer hole or neighbours property. Therefore, deep core aeration is the service treatment that pulls the plugs and creates holes across the lawn to allow faster water saturation and a better retention of H2O overall, leaving the lawn softer, healthier and better able to keep itself hydrated and green.
The Flag Bearers will find it easy to get real interest for our services in every neighbourhood! These services are in high demand in the Spring/Summer seasons and with a little education and practice, the Flag Bearers can find themselves equipped to increase their sales commission and bonuses exponentially.
Professional reference letters will be available where any of the Flag Bearers show a fair level of interest and development throughout their work experience.4 These letters can be useful for higher education admittance letters (university and college applications), tuition and sports scholarships, and also a career in different field (e.g. other future opportunities).
Green Flag has three Flag Bearer options for our Spring/Summer Campaigns. The first option is a full-time Flag Bearer position and requires work six (6) days a week (Mon – Sat) at regular intervals of twelve and a half hours (12.5 hrs ea. day). This is the most rigorous option and also the most profitable with self-improvement being the most intensive and commissions and bonuses typically the highest. The second option requires the Flag Bearer to work three (3) weekday evenings (4:45pm – 9 pm) and one (1) Saturday session (9-7pm), which is our work program for those seeking medium intensity. Finally, the third option is the least intensive part-time option and includes three weekday evenings (4:45pm-9pm). These three options allow Green Flag to hit its goals but also provide the Flag Bearers with maximum flexibility to fit their own schedule and selecting the option most suitable to their personal needs.
Ranking and Reward:
Not all Flag Bearers will excel as leaders immediately. Some Flag Bearers need more time to cultivate their ability and talents than others do. That is why Green Flag has a Leadership Program with Education Pay and the Stages lecture series and exams for all the leaders-in-training. These leaders-in-training are called Ensign Flag Bearers and begin at the lowest level of the Flag Bearer ranks. The Ensign Flag means the person holds a junior rank. The Ensign Flag Bearer may carry the Green Flag but this doesn’t mean they can necessarily plant one into new territory. This is a beginner’s position; a position to springboard to something greater and begin the process of planting the Green Flag far-and-wide.
Although a new Flag Bearer begins at the bottom as an Ensign Flag Bearer, he or she is only in this position until they can realize higher earnings potential by adapting the lessons and skills of the Stages lecture series and recognizing the importance of the conditions devised by the Education Pay. In combination, these two components of the Leadership Program will help springboard the Flag Bearer through the ranks toward whatever elevation their ambition should sustain. They will begin at the Ensign Flag Bearer level and move upward based on their skill, cleverness and determination, toward Single Flag Bearer, Double Flag Bearer, Triple Flag Bearer and finally and for a select few – the Eagle Flag Bearer designation. Upon reaching any of these levels the Flag Bearer will realize that within the same time frame they will earn more in commission and bonuses, which will often arise from working smarter and not harder.
